Successful launch of a career in 2022

Spaichingen. As a supplier of small to medium-sized series and prototype construction, Heppler GmbH CNC-Technik in Spaichingen, an enterprise with around 285 personnel and a further two locations in Germany, does its part to help young people as they begin a new phase of their lives.

Young people are equipped to face the future and, simultaneously, training is provided for the skilled professionals of tomorrow. Heppler GmbH CNC-Technik in Spaichingen masters both these tasks with its training programme, and the medium-sized enterprise is one of the most reliable training enterprises in the region. It is therefore logical that the company launched the new training year in September 2022 with a group of new apprentices. “The beginning of the month saw five cutting machine operator apprentices and four machinist apprentices joining our team,” said Gunnar Frommhold, Training Manager at Heppler. In addition, two new entrants were counted in the second training year. The company currently has a total of 46 apprentices spread from the first to fourth training year, including a commercial apprentice in the third training year.

The apprentices pass through a variety of areas in the company to acquire as broad a knowledge base as possible. Training is extremely practical and coordinated with production. Heppler GmbH now has a separate new and highly modern training centre in which apprentices are provided with state-of-the-art turning and milling machinery. Specialisation includes a CNC training course in turning and milling and a CAD course where trainees gain a sound understanding of the interpretation of drawings for their future career.

“We value our apprentices highly as a core component of our enterprise,” emphasised Astrid and Dieter Heppler. “Their intensive promotion also contributes to the avoidance of any skills shortage. This is why we place such an emphasis on specialist qualification. We are also conscious of the importance of social integration. Anybody trained in our enterprise becomes part of the greater Heppler family, and this is reflected in the harmonious working atmosphere. Our apprentices are distinguished by their quality awareness, sense of responsibility and future-oriented attitude. As an owner-managed company, our vision is for the constructive development of personnel, and we regard this as both an aspiration and obligation. Our motto Precision underscores our significance in competition”.
